Bent Creek of Indian Trail HOA Annual Meeting January 27, 2011 Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm. Attendees: Jacob Miller (President), Ryan Ray (Vice President), Jonathon Eldridge (Voting Member) and Debbie Clark (Treasurer). Approximately 37 homes were represented at the meeting. Jacob Miller introduced the current Board Members and Officers, then introduced Eleanor (Doty) Hohler representing the Neighborhood Watch Committee. Ms. Hohler then introduced Deputy Jeremy Schoen to discuss Neighborhood Watch in Bent Creek. Deputy Schoen noted that Neighborhood Watch signs had been installed in Bent Creek and encouraged residents to subscribe to Citizen Observer on the internet to keep apprised of police reports and other activities to help keep ourselves aware and safe. He mentioned that we can request a radar trailer be set up in the neighborhood at any time. A full meeting for those interested in Neighborhood Watch will be scheduled for a later date. President’s Remarks were made by Jacob Miller. He noted that in the past year the playground was completed, and repairs and improvements were made to the pond fountains, the baby pool and the clubhouse. This coming year the Board anticipates new signs and improved landscaping at the entrances. He also noted the need for two new Board Members and volunteers for various committees. Treasurer’s Report and Proposed Budget (attached) was reviewed with attendees. As previously noted in mailed statements, dues were increased this year due to expenses slightly exceeding income and the lack of any contribution to reserves. It was noted that this was the third dues increase in nine years. Questions from the floor involved privacy issues involved with the use of security cameras at the pool and clubhouse and concerns over consistency in Covenants enforcement. Nominations were made and accepted for new Board members: Frank Henry and Jill Brundage. Attendees voted to approve new Board Members and to retain current Board Members. Stacy Polak volunteered to take over as Pool Liaison. Paige Haney volunteered to take over Clubhouse Rentals. Drew raffle tickets and distributed prizes (primarily donated by residents and local businesses). Meeting adjourned at 9:07.
